THE FATHER'S ANSWER

I often have full days of tasks , classes , unfinished projects and work ; the kind that really have you walking and talking everywhere. But no one talks about the slow days , where all the unspoken thoughts decide to surface and for a moment I am questioning everything , my successes ,failures and the deep existential questions that really shake my faith.
Through cycles of such phases I am reminded of what Faith really is and what trusting the father feels like .So when I am shaken up the pages of my journal will turn to the letters of my first lover . On them words of comfort and truth .
He reminds me that My Identity is something placed within me, my fate is in the hands of someone I know and love , A father , the one who knew me before I was formed in my mother’s womb and set me apart and appointed me .
He is the voice that speaks into my becoming, and I am fully grounded because if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and gone tomorrow, won’t he more surely care for me?
These words become beliefs. These beliefs become lenses. And through these lenses, I begin to see myself.
I am reminded that I am still an impressionable young mind that needs healing , grounding and love ;so much only Jesus can offer it.
In my search for acceptance, affirmation and appreciation, frantic and futile chase to belong to fit and to be wanted ,
I am reminded that our Heavenly Father, saw the anguish in this endless pursuit. So He sent His Son demolishing our corrupted identities by bearing our sins on the cross. And He put a stamp on everything by rising on the third day, offering us a new identity in Him. When we know Him through His Word, we begin to know ourselves.
So when the doubts persist I choose to trust Him, because Faith really is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
And one thing remains unchanged ,He is a better Father, a better Friend, a better Priest.
Scripture says:
He is the Friend who sticks closer than a brother
“One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs 18:24
Our High Priest:
“For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are, yet he did not sin.” Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:15-16
He understands. He empathizes. He intercedes. Our identities do not begin with our pasts or our traumas.
They begin IN CHRIST:
You are loved.
Not because you performed.
Not because you earned it.
Not because you proved worthy.
But because the Father decided.
And His decision stands
